BEHR Brewing Concert Series
Featuring
Goalkeeper // Cult Tides
11-30

November 30th: Goalkeeper and Cult Tides graced the stage with an unforgettable performance at Behr Brewing in Erma, New Jersey. Although it was my inaugural visit to Behr Brewing, the venue's charm nestled in the heart of Cape May County immediately captivated me. Brewery shows and events possess an inexplicable allure, perhaps emanating from their intimate settings or the overall ambiance. Regardless, this show was nothing short of fantastic, and the early start time only added to its appeal.
Cult Tides, a dynamic fusion of punk and riff rock, kicked off the night with a burst of energy. Opening with "Horseshoes & Hand Grenades" from their "Brittany EP," they set the perfect tone for the evening. Introducing two unreleased tracks, "Ferryman" (scheduled for January release) and "Games" (coming out on December 15th), the audience was treated to fresh sounds. Towards the end of their set, they delighted fans with their rendition of CKY’s "96 Quite Bitter Beings" and concluded with the powerful "Silver Bullet." Stay tuned for more from Cult Tides by following them on Facebook or website and streaming their music.
Closing the night was Goalkeeper, a band that has held a place in my playlist since at least 2017. Consisting of Ryan Beebe on Bass and Vocals, Marc Juiliano on Guitar and Vocals, and Codie Ritchie on Drums, Goalkeeper consistently delivers top-tier performances. This time, their energy was so infectious that lightbulbs literally fell from the ceiling. Drawing from their EP "Bad Times Don’t Last" and their latest LP "I Wish I Met You Sooner" (available on vinyl, Here), they showcased their musical prowess. Don't miss the chance to witness Goalkeeper live; they have two upcoming shows in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, With Driveways and Eternal Boy, both on the verge of selling out, so secure your tickets, Philadelphia/Pittsburgh.
The night was not just about the music; it was a harmonious blend of incredible tunes and meticulously crafted beer. While this marked the end of the concert series at Behr Brewing for the year, my anticipation is already building for more events in the upcoming year. I eagerly look forward to returning to this gem of a venue.
As we wind down the year, Cult Tides has a slew of exciting releases, including a single dropping over the next couple of months. Goalkeeper, true to form, remains on the move, ensuring you'll likely have another chance to catch them live soon, perhaps even this month. I can hardly wait to experience the magic of both bands again in the near future. Cheers to a night of music, camaraderie, and memories that will linger long after the final note.
