Back to Anchor Rock Club in Atlantic City for a night of Rock n' Roll featuring Gutter Drunk, High, and Echo Plum presented by Be Here Now.
opening the night was Echo Plum from Pine beach, New Jersey. they are a Indie rock band with hints of surf, pop, and slacker rock. their songs have a very danceable vibe to them and the crowd noticed, dancing along to every one. tonight was also the bands singer/guitarists Declan Rizzo birthday to which the crowd sang him happy birthday. you can catch Echo Plum at The Wonder Bar in Asbury Park on 9/23 and check them out on Spotify and Apple Music. be sure to check out the song "Miami"
Following Echo Plum was the band High, they are a shoegaze band out of Boonton, New Jersey. their set was filled with dreamy reverb soaked guitars and ambient drones filling between songs. High carried a much different vibe than Echo Plum but that didn't matter the crowd was there for it moving to the droning rhythm of each song. High will be playing Market Hotel in Brooklyn, NYC on 9/30 and have some new music in the works, in the mean time you can check them out here.
Closing out the night was Gutter Drunk, basically a staple in the South Jersey music scene, With their blend of punk rock n' roll they always pack the room. Frantic guitars, tight rhythm sections and throat wrenched vocals fill the sonic landscape and the crowd goes wild. The Pit opened up from the first note to the last. At one point a shoe and up on stage and a open call to drink a beer from the shoe happened and someone answered. concerts are all about the moments they create and this was one of them and it just shows what kind of things can happen at a gutter drunk show. follow Gutter Drunk on Instagram or Facebook to Check a future event.
