Road To Rebellion Tour
Flogging Molly
with
Amigo the Devil
And
Gen and the Degenerates

Flogging Molly swept through Atlantic City on the Road to Rebellion Tour alongside Amigo the Devil and Gen and the Degenerates on February 18th at The Hard Rock Hotel. The show took place in the Sound Waves theater, a venue with tiered levels at the back, ensuring a great view from every angle.
Kicking off the night was Gen and the Degenerates, an alternative punk band from the UK. They ignited the crowd with a thirty-minute set, mixing older songs with tracks from their upcoming album ‘Anti-Fun Propaganda’, set to release this Friday. Although it was my first encounter with their music, their performance left me intrigued, eagerly awaiting the release of their new album.
Next up was Amigo the Devil, opening with “A Drop for Every Hour” from their album ‘Born Against’. Danny Kiranos's storytelling prowess brought their songs to life, infusing each lyric with palpable authenticity. They teased the audience with tracks from their forthcoming album ‘Yours Until The War Is Over’, including “It’s All Gone”, “Once Upon a Time at Texaco Pt. 1”, and “Cannibal Within”. The anticipation for this album reached a peak after experiencing these songs live. Closing their set with the crowd favorite “Murder at the Bingo Hall” from ‘Born Against’, Amigo the Devil thrilled the audience, continuing to tour with Flogging Molly and recently announcing a solo tour in Australia before rejoining for Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls Undefeated tour.
Flogging Molly burst onto the stage with the fan-favorite “Drunken Lullabies” following a brief intro from Dave King. Their infectious energy swept through the venue, prompting the crowd to sing along and dance in delight. The band treated the audience to a diverse selection from their extensive catalog, including hits like “Swagger”, “Life in a Tenement Square”, “Float”, “Devil's Dance Floor”, “World Alive”, and “Seven Deadly Sins”. Throughout the night, the band maintained a tight performance and kept the audience engaged. Flogging Molly's appeal spans generations, captivating both old and new fans alike. Having been a fan for 22 of their 29-year career, the opportunity to photograph them was surreal. The Road To Rebellion Tour continues through March, culminating in the Shamrock Rebellion event in Las Vegas. With three outstanding bands on the bill, this tour is a must-see.
